How to save your Mealime recipes before October 21
Mealime has announced that the app is discontinued on October 21, 2026 and that all personal data is deleted when it shuts down. There is no export button. This guide works whichever app you use next.
Only need Mealime’s own recipes? Mealime says all of them are in Meals Hub, a free part of the Albertsons Companies store apps and websites (Safeway, Albertsons, Vons and others) that you use with a store account.
Find your Mealime recipes by name
Type a name, tick the recipes you cook and import them in one go. Searches the 2,601 Mealime recipes the Internet Archive saved in 2026, so it still works after Mealime’s pages go offline. Misa keeps up to 200 recipes on one device.
Names are rebuilt from the recipe links, so small words like “and” are missing; the import brings the full recipe. Mealime had a page per serving size. Where the archive kept all three, pick 2, 4 or 6 servings (4 unless you change it); otherwise the import takes the page it has and the recipe shows its servings. Not in the list? The archive never saved it: search the web for “mealime” plus the name and paste the link into Misa. “Copy links” works for any other recipe app. Ticks stay when you search again; while some are ticked, import them together with the button at the bottom.
What goes, what stays
Deleted with your account: your saved favourites list, meal plans, grocery lists and settings. Mealime’s FAQ says account information doesn’t transfer and preferences have to be set up again in Meals Hub.
Still available: Mealime says all its recipes continue in Meals Hub, inside Albertsons Companies store apps and websites, where you sign in with a store account. It also says Meals Hub can be used for recipes, meal plans and lists without shopping at an Albertsons store.
Not announced: whether the recipe pages on mealime.com stay online after October 21. If they go offline, many have a saved copy in the Internet Archive: on October 15, 2026 it held copies saved in 2026 of 2,601 Mealime recipes. Open web.archive.org and paste the recipe’s mealime.com link to find one. Saving what you cook before October 21 is still the safest way.
- STEP 1 · ABOUT 10 MINUTES
Make a list of your favourites
Open Mealime and go through your saved favourites. For each one, find it by name in the search above and tick it; “Copy links” gives you the list. If a recipe is not there, search the web for “mealime” plus the recipe name and copy the mealime.com/recipes address into a note, one link per line. For recipes you had imported into Mealime from other sites, note the original site’s link instead.
- STEP 2 · OPTIONAL
Keep copies you own
Open each recipe page in a browser and choose Print, then “Save as PDF”. The PDFs are yours, readable on any device and independent of any app.
- STEP 3
Import them into your next app
Mealime’s recipe pages include standard recipe data (schema.org Recipe), the format most recipe apps read when you add a recipe from a link. Paste your links into the app you choose and check that the ingredients and steps came through.
If you choose Misa
Misa is a free meal planner that runs in the browser, with no account. Tick your recipes in the search above and press Import, or paste links under “+ Recipe from a link”; when a Mealime page is gone, Misa reads its Internet Archive copy instead. Each recipe keeps its ingredients, steps, servings and time, with links to its Internet Archive copy and to the original mealime.com page; photos are shown from the source, not copied. Then let Misa plan a week from them, picking dinners that share ingredients, and shop from one list with shared amounts added up, at any grocery store. How the move works, with screenshots and limits.
Paste my links into MisaMisa is an independent app, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Mealime or Albertsons.
